Class Description
Boot Camp: Boot Camp is a total body conditioning class with a non-choreographed approach. Traditional calisthenics that work upper and lower body toning, core conditioning are combined with fun! Cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, flexibility, and a good time are the primary objectives of this class! We will tone your muscles and speed up you metabolism with free weights, stability balls, resistance bands, aerobic steps and course work. The class begins and ends with stretching fundamentals to maximize efficiency of movement and recovery.
Circuit Training: Circuit Training is a type of Interval training in which strength exercises are combined with endurance/aerobic exercises, thus giving you all the benefits of both a cardiovascular and strength training workout. Participants rotate from selected weight and resistance stations to cardio stations, rotating between each station in 1 minute 30 second intervals with little or no rest in between each exercise.
Circuit Training is designed for all fitness levels because participants can perform each exercise at their own speed and intensity.
Spinning: Spinning is an indoor cycling program that simulates real cycling terrain, conditions, and techniques. In the coached 40-minute training sessions that energize, challenge and inspire you will burn an average of 500 calories, develop mental and physical strength, build endurance, and improve your overall cardiovascular health. It’s for all fitness levels and it’s FUN!
Yoga: Yoga makes you healthier in mind, body, and spirit. In our Hatha Yoga class we practice the Sivananda style, which combines breathing, postures, and relaxation to bring balance and flexibility to your body. All are welcome to experience how this style will help you tune in, chill out, and shape up, all at the same time. This is a no competition class that encourages each person to advance at his/her own pace, with modifications being given to accommodate individual abilities.
SilverSneakers® I – Muscular Strength & Range of Movement: This class is designed for individuals 65 or older who are participants in the Healthways SilverSneakers Program. It is an exercise class with a variety of activities, set to music to make it fun and enjoyable. The class will increase muscular strength and range of motion using light weights, elastic tubing with handles, and exercise balls as resistance, as well as a chair for seated or standing support
